General FAQs

Dam Jam is an annual end of the year celebration put on for students, by students. It's a time when the OSU community can come together to celebrate the end of the year and share in an inclusive experience that's fun for everyone.

Dam Jam is a two part event, consisting of the Dam Jamboree and the Dam Jam concert.

  • Dam Jam 2020 will be on Friday, May 29 at Reser Stadium
  • Dam Jamboree: 3 pm – 6 pm in Parker Plaza (area outside of Reser Stadium)
  • Concert Doors Open: 6 pm
  • Dam Jam Concert: 8 – 11 pm inside Reser Stadium
  • Dam Jam is a substance free event and is open to individuals 18 and over

Individuals will be able to experience the concert in one of two ways. Either from general access (GA) which places individuals in the student section bleachers in Reser facing the stage, and field access (FA) which allows individuals to stand right in front of the stage on the field in Reser.

Every Dam Jam ticket comes with GA seating. If you want Field Access, you must obtain it by completing one of the four ways available.

Field Access FAQs

Field access refers to the opportunity for individuals to stand on the field in Reser right in front of the Dam Jam stage. This feature does not come with a Dam Jam concert ticket, and must be obtained by participating in one of the four ways available.

Due to compliance with fire codes, field access is limited to 2,500 individuals.

All field access wristbands will be handed out on the day of the event. This is to ensure that they are handed out to the right person and prevent people from potentially losing or misplacing them before the event.

Since field access does not come with your Dam Jam ticket, if you want it, you must obtain it through one of the four following ways:

  • Purchase: There will be a limited number of Field Access Packages available for individuals to purchase. A Field Access Package comes with a ticket to the Dam Jam concert and a Field Access Wristband.
    • Student Field Access Packages: $30
    • Public Field Access Packages: $50
  • Attend: Individuals can gain field access by attending 6 out of 20 events on this year’s Event Stamp Card. Completed stamp cards must be turned into the SEC front desk by May 22nd. Check out the events on this year's Events Stamp Card.
  • Participate: As always, individuals will have the opportunity to gain field access by engaging in a certain number of pre-selected booths at the Dam Jamboree
  • Volunteer: There will be a limited number of volunteering opportunities available for individuals to sign up for throughout winter and spring term. All volunteer opportunities require at least a 2 hour commitment.

If you want to purchase your field access, you will need to buy a Field Access Package which includes a field access wristband and your ticket to the concert. Prices:

  • Student FA Packages: $30
  • Public FA packages: $50

When can I buy it?

Field Access Packages will be available for purchase around the beginning of spring term. Please check back later for the specific date and time.

Where can I buy it?

Both student and public Field Access Packages will be available for sale online. Check back later for the link!

Where do I pick it up?

Your ticket will be sent to you via email, but you will need to pick up your Field Access wristband at the will-call table on the day of the event.

No. Because field access is directly related to the concert, if you are interested in buying your Field Access you will need to purchase a Field Access Package (which comes with a FA wristband and a ticket to the concert).

In order to gain field access, you will need to attend 6 out of the 20 events on the stamp card.

Where do I get my event stamp card?

Stamp cards will be supplied at the first 15 events. After the 15th event (Art Fest on 5/2/2020), stamp cards will not be handed out because you will not be able to get the required 6 stamps. You will get your stamp card at the first event you attend and it is your responsibility to keep your card and fill it out once you get it.

What events are on the stamp card?

Visit our Event Stamp Card page for the full list of events.

I filled it out. Where do I turn it in?

Completed stamp cards must be turned into the SEC front desk. Event stamp cards will not be accepted after May 22nd.

Make sure that your name, ONID email, and ID number are written on the Stamp Card. Stamp cards that are not completely filled out will not be counted.

I lost my stamp card. What do I do?

Please e-mail osupc@oregonstate.edu for further steps/information

As always, individuals will have the opportunity to gain field access by engaging in a certain number of pre-selected booths at the Dam Jamboree. Once you complete your Dam Jamboree stamp card, you will need to hold onto it and get into the field access line. There, staff members will be working the line, collecting the Dam Jamboree stamp cards and putting wristbands on people.

The Dam Jamboree will take place on May 29 in Parker Plaza from 3 pm – 6 pm.

There will be a limited number of volunteering opportunities available for individuals to sign up for throughout winter and spring term. All volunteer opportunities require at least a 2 hour commitment.

No. Field access is non-transferrable. No matter how you earn it, your field access will be directly linked to you and no one else will be able to use it in your place.

Ticket FAQs

  • Student Tickets: $15
  • Public Tickets: $35

Dam Jam tickets will be available for sale online sometime around the beginning of spring term. After purchasing, you will receive an email with your e-ticket. You will not get, or need to pick up, a physical ticket for the event. Save your confirmation email that contains your e-ticket and present it at the front gates to be scanned in on the day of the event.

Important: If you bought a Field Access Package, you will still need to come to the Dam Jamboree on the day of the event to pick up your Field Access wristband. Your ticket is the only thing that will get sent to you.

Your ticket to Dam Jam provides you with entry to the concert and allows you to experience the concert from the student section bleachers in Reser Stadium (Want field access? Heres how). There is no re-entry allowed, so if you leave the concert, you will not be allowed back in.
